CYBER SAFETY

The College takes quite seriously the need to educate all our students in being cyber safe. It accepts that living in an online world is part of the educational landscape but that all students need to be aware of what they need to do to work safely on the internet.

Learning about cyber safety forms part of the pastoral program in Years 7 - 9, and we also invite speakers to come in to speak to all students about how to be cyber safe. Parents are directed to the following websites in seeking to support the school in its efforts, but importantly, to also educate their own children.

NETALERT

This is a Federal Government sponsored website and a very useful
resource for parents.

CYBERSMART KIDS

This is a website developed by the Australian Communications and
Media Authority (ACMA), and full of good resources and advice.

IT VISION

This is a website developed by Greg Gebhart who has spoken to
students and parents of the college on this vital area.

The relevant section here is the fourth tab on the top called 'Internet Safety'.
