HORIZONS 2009

Applications are now open for entry into HORIZONS, the College's Accelerated Learning Program, in 2009. Testing will take place on Saturday, 19th of April, at the Dalton Road Campus.

HORIZONS is a three year accelerated program, with students able to commence VCE at Year 10 level. Students can then complete VCE in two years and graduate a year early; complete VCE in three years and explore a greater breadth of subjects, or study first year university subjects in their final year.

After careful research into, and consideration of the most effective ways to cater for highly able students, the HORIZONS program has been devised to offer such students advanced and intensive learning experiences, commensurate with their potential.

Students in the HORIZONS program will undertake studies that offer greater depth and complexity of content, delivered at an accelerated pace. Independent learning projects are a key focus of the program. HORIZONS will also include the study of Philosophy, which challenges students to develop higher order thinking skills, as well as the study of Japanese.
