NOTIFICATION TO ST MONICA’S COLLEGE EPPING COMMUNITY
Dear Parents/Guardians & Carers,
St Monica’s College has been advised that a person who was onsite on Tuesday 23, November has tested positive for coronavirus and this has been confirmed by the Department of Health (DH).
Following advice from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS), St Monica’s College has undergone the necessary cleaning and identified and contacted students and staff who may have had close contact with the case. If your family has not been contacted as part of this process, your child can return to school as usual on Monday, 29 November.
I understand this news will be concerning for many of you. I want to assure you we are doing everything we can to ensure the health and safety of our whole school community. MACS has advised us that, as per Department of Health protocols, as the necessary cleaning has taken place and all close contacts informed, it is very safe for your child to be onsite. St Monica’s College will continue to take every possible precaution.
As a reminder, if you or anyone in your family develops even the mildest of symptoms, please get tested. If you need to get tested, please check coronavirus.vic.gov.au for up-to-date information about waiting times at testing sites across the state.
Please be aware that we cannot provide information about the person who has tested positive for COVID-19 and I ask that you respect their privacy.
Further information will be provided soon regarding learning for students identified as close contacts.
We will continue to keep you informed as further updates become available.
More information regarding coronavirus and schools is available at coronavirus.vic.gov.au.
Shalom – Anywhere You Go.
