Dear Parents / Guardians & Carers,
Matters in regard to our St Stephen/Gaudete Campus, Reservoir are progressing well, and the continued interest of parents is genuinely appreciated. As time draws closer to the establishment of the Campus in 2025, excitement and confidence grow. The emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy development is truly valuable, enhanced by the Journey Program and other intensive 4-week programs across a range of faculties.
There will be an opportunity arranged for parents (with senior staff as hosts) to visit as soon as practicable. A few essential insurance details require attention for your safety, and we would like to complete as much of the refurbishment as possible before the visit.
Student visits took place on Thursday, 17 October and Friday, 18 October. Please view the images below.
A few matters of interest and importance:
- Buses are being arranged with a company interested in supplying vehicles. Remember, students commence and finish the school day at Dalton Road Campus unless parents request to drop and off and collect from St Stephen/Gaudete Campus.
- In the near future, families will be asked to select/nominate/inform the College of how they wish for their child to arrive at school each day.
- An important consideration for parents who decide to drop off and pick up from Reservoir daily, is that these students will not be able to use the Dalton Road facilities or have access to the before and after school programs offered there.
- Please note: the option you choose for the Reservoir Campus (either College bus or own transport to Reservoir) will be the standing arrangement every day for the Semester. Please be aware of this requirement before a decision is taken.
- When an Assembly or special activity is scheduled, students begin their day on the Dalton Road Campus. Students will then be taken by bus to the Reservoir Campus.
- Students arriving to school late due to an appointment must arrive at Reservoir, not Epping.
- Those who must leave school early for an appointment must leave from Reservoir. This is necessary on the rare occasion that an appointment would be scheduled in the school day. The College cannot shuttle students to and from Epping during the course of the day. Thus, appointments should be avoided whenever possible during the school day.
- Staffing is nearing completion with existing staff (teachers, School Officers, Administration, wellbeing, maintenance et al) and new staff appointments organised.
Faculty Leaders are finalising their programs at a rapid rate with relevant courses and approaches being developed
Transition programs for students – From Epping to Reservoir: From Reservoir to Epping will occur through our Transition Coordinator
Negotiations are underway with an international order of religious Sisters and St Gabriel’s parish, Reservoir to provide a Sister in a student wellbeing capacity.at St Stephen/Gaudete Campus.
Take a drive past 71 Whitelaw Street, Reservoir and inspect this newly refurbished Monican campus. You will be very impressed with its size and attractiveness.
We continue to thank families for contacting the Steering Committee with questions regarding St Stephen / Gaudete Campus. We encourage families to reach out to the College through the following email – principal@stmonicas-epping.com
Yours faithfully,
