Dance Showcase is an exciting event held bi-annually (Semester 1 and 2) in the Theatre of All Nations, Dalton Road Campus.
Each year, staff, students and special guests are treated to an evening of high-class dance entertainment.
SMC Dance Showcase: Celebrating Semester 1 and 2 Performances
The Dance Showcase at St Monica’s College is a bi-annual event, held each Semester, that highlights the talent, dedication, and artistry of our dance students. Across two exciting evenings, students from all year levels bring their self-expression, focus, and choreographic performance skills to the stage, sharing their passion with a live audience.
The showcase includes a diverse programme featuring solo routines, group performances choreographed by our VET Dance instructors, and themed group pieces created by our Year 9 and 10 students.
Each year, we proudly welcome esteemed dance teacher Vera Teuma as a special guest judge.
Ms Teuma selects one standout performer to receive the prestigious Dance Award, first introduced during St Monica’s College Golden Jubilee in 2014. This award honours students who exemplify technical precision, artistry, performance presence, and creativity in choreography.
