Each year in March students from Takada visit St Monica’s College for 10 days and are hosted by our families so that they can experience the ‘Australian way of life’. Then in September of the same year students from St Monica’s College visit Takada Junior and Senior High School to immerse themselves in the Japanese culture. Students and staff are hosted by Japanese families.

This program has been of immense value to both schools and has resulted in many lasting friendships between students and staff. It also allows students from both countries to gain an understanding of the different cultures and helps them to grow up to be both citizens of their country and of the world.
